“FLAP” Family Law Assistance Project
“Pro bono” is the Latin phrase for “free of charge”, meaning volunteering my time and legal skills to (primarily) women who have sought the assistance of the Family Law Assistance Project to finesse the legal aspects of extracting themselves from a personal situation that is harmful.
It takes tremendous courage to leave an abuser because he has isolated you emotionally, socially and financially. I’m humbled to be able to help these women take charge of their lives again.
Most of us, unfortunately, know someone who needs help. Please have them contact HAVEN in complete confidence to get to a place of safety. Once safe, then contact Lakeshore Legal Aid to invoke the power of the rule of law.
